Axiell Arena introduces both library and end-users to a whole new world; a world where the library can expose the electronic resources to the citizens, and where the 24 hours library inspires user involvement and activity.
Axiell Arena is the library’s new meeting place, where patrons can meet and share knowledge and experiences. They are encouraged to enter into a dialogue with the library and provide qualitative input to the development of the catalogue by e.g. tagging, writing a review and uploading it for the benefit of other library users and by rating titles or using the forum to start a debate on a specific title or film.
Axiell Arena is also the library’s stage – where the library’s catalogue, OPAC, is exposed in a new and different way. Information is enhanced with different resources picked up from central sources consisting of front pages, reviews, similar titles, portraits of authors etc. And new search options like clustering and “0-hit” help are offered.
