Axiell BookDesire can help the library by showing up the library's collection.

Axiell BookDesire is a new inspirering, graphical product which helps the end-user to find a book or a film also when the enduser doensn't know the title or the author. The enduser sets up different parameters for his wishes to a title, and he becomes as an answer some suggestions to different titles.  By clciking on one of the titles, he can get further inspired by choosing the function "similar titles" and be even more inspired. The search results is presenting graphical and with book jackets.

Public Libraries are using Axiell BookDesire

 

Since September 2008 the endusers at the Public Libraries in Lund have had the possibility to use Axiell BookDesire.

 

Elin Sander, librarian at the Public Libraries in Lund says


"Axiell BookDesire makes it possible for our endusers to receive a tip about books exactly to their tasting. The only thing they need is access to the internet.


The staff at the library is joining the work with Axiell BookDesire directly by adding books to the system and recommending them based on the parameters in Axiell BookDesire. While the amount of books has increased, the hit precision has been even better. The staff in the information work as well is using Axiell Book Desire as a help to reach those endusers, who have questions as”Do you have a book similar like this one?” or ”I want to read a happy book”".
