Michael Schneider, Chief Development Manager, Axiell Library Group AB

Michael Schneider is Chief Development Manager in Axiell Library Group and member of the Axiell Management Team. He is positioned in Denmark and has as main field of his work the responsibility for common product development in Axiell Library Group, including overall strategy concerning future technologies, products and development methodologies.
Michael Schneider has more than 13 years of experience from different business areas mainly within the telecommunication industry and cell phone services. Michael has been working for Axiell since February 2006. Previous Michael Schneider has worked as Director of Development & Implementation at Atchik-Realtime A/S.
His particular areas of interest include: Latest software technologies & frameworks, web trends, open source projects, agile development, SCRUM, business processes, test methodologies.
Michael Schneider has a Masters Degree in Computer Science. He has previous worked for TDC A/S, The Royal Veterinarian University of Copenhagen, Dan Net A/S, Atchik-Realtime A/S.

Boris Zetterlund, Product Strategy Manager, Axiell Library Group AB


Boris Zetterlund is Axiell Library Group’s product strategy manager with product strategy and competitive Intelligence as his main field of work. He is positioned in Sweden and is a member of the Axiell Management Team.
Boris Zetterlund has more than 25 years of experience within the library field, including the last 11 years he has worked for BTJ Sweden – now Axiell – on all levels in the library automation and the information world including LMS services and Web portals. His particular areas of interest include: Library change processes; the user experience; how the physical library translates to the virtual room; the relationship of public libraries to other cultural services and to the community; the potential for cross-domain services; the library service as a force for creativity and change; the library as a stage (both physically and virtually).
Boris Zetterlund has a Masters Degree in Librarianship followed by studies in History of Ideas and Social Sciences. He worked for 13 years in Sweden's Malmö City Library on all aspects of the trade, latterly as systems and IT manager.

Business Development

Göran Hultén, Vice President, Axiell Library Group AB


Göran Hultén is Axiell Library Group’s Vice President and also Manager for Corporate and Business Development with Business and Corporate development, Acquisitions, Partnerships, Distributorships, 3-party products as his main fields of work. He is positioned in Sweden and is a member of the Axiell Management Team. Göran Hultén is also chairman of Axiell Libra Nordic Board. Göran Hultén has 30 years of experience within the library field, including the last 15 years he has worked for Axiell in different management positions.
His particular areas of interest include: The development of Libraries, Library Services, Library Suppliers and ALM (Archives/Libraries/Museums cooperation).
Göran Hultén has studied History, Sociology and Literature and has a Masters Degree in Librarianship. He has worked as Library Manager for many years before joining Axiell in 1994.

Nigel Pegg, Deputy chairman Axiell Limited


Nigel Pegg is deputy chairman of Axiell Limited and is closely involved in business development for the Axiell Library Group. Previously he was managing director of the DS Group, where Nigel Pegg was responsible for leading the UK library and government business solutions provider into a merger with Axiell in April 2008. Nigel Pegg is based in the UK.
Following a scholarship to Oxford University where he studied English and Linguistics, Nigel’s early career was as a manager in public libraries, both city and county, following which he spent a number of years in the IT industry working in the area of office automation with Datapoint and Ericssons. Returning to the library and information world on the supplier side, he introduced the Sydney Library System to the UK building a business later sold to, and still owned by, Soutron Limited. He then started Information Made Easy selling TinLib from IME and built a base of customers later sold back to IME. He then became Sales and Marketing Director at SLS Information Systems during which time, SLS successfully entered the large academic library markets in Sweden and Spain with Libertas. He has over 30 years experience in IT including over 20 in the application of ICT in all types of libraries, archives and museums.
Nigel Pegg’s particular areas of interest include: structured information and collection management systems; the relationship of public libraries to other cultural services and to the community; the potential for cross-domain services; and the future of publicly-funded information services.

Communication and Marketing


Lise Søderberg, Nordic Communication and Marketing Manager, Axiell Library Group AB


Lise Søderberg is Axiell Library Group’s Communication and Marketing Manager with internal as external communication as well as marketing on the parent company level as her responsibility. She is positioned in Denmark and is a member of the Axiell Management Team.
Lise Søderberg has more than 30 years of experience within the library field, including the last 10 years she has worked for Axiell – on different levels as project leader, administration manager and as head of the Danish department, when it was a part of the Swedish company Axiell Bibliotek AB. Her particular main fields of work include branding, marketing, arranging external meetings as Axiell Symposium, intranet and external communication including the web and web development.
Lise Søderberg has a Masters Degree in Librarianship. She has worked for private companies and for 12 years at the Danish Union of Librarians latterly as team leader for the organizational team.
