Submit a Paper for the 2022 Axiell European User Conference

#AxiellEU22, 15-16 June, Manchester & Online

Want to make the most of your User Conference experience? Submit a paper or discussion topic to share your work, inspire your community, and gain valuable insights from other users. You can choose whether you want to present in-person or remotely.

Share your story

We want to hear what your organisation has been up to and how you’re working with your software. Maybe you’ve discovered functionality that saved your team loads of time, maybe you’re using the system in a unique way, or maybe you’ve finally been able to tackle a project that’s been on your to-do list for years.

You could also talk about how you met the challenges of the past couple of years and how the pandemic has affected your strategy going forward.

Lead a workshop or discussion

If there’s a topic that you’re passionate about or that you’re looking for a range of views on, why not lead an interactive workshop or discussion? The session can focus on collections management practices or on a key conversation point from the wider industry. For example, some of you may have tuned in to the fascinating sessions on decolonisation during the 2021 Virtual User Conference.

Sharing your story or leading a workshop or discussion is a great way to:

  • Gain valuable feedback from colleagues and peers from across the sector
  • Shine a light on the excellent work you and your colleagues have been doing
  • Highlight features of your software others might not be aware of
  • Inspire other users to overcome the challenges you’ve faced
  • Encourage discussion on the topics that are important to you
  • Develop your skills in presenting or leading workshops

Present remotely

If you can’t make it to Manchester, you can choose to present remotely or pre-record your session. The conference venue will have video conferencing capability, so we are delighted to be able to offer presenters this convenient way to present.

Size doesn’t matter!

Whether you work for a large internationally recognised institution, a smaller independent museum or archive, or you’re a team of one, we want to hear from you!

We sometime hear that users are discouraged from presenting because they feel their project won’t be interesting to other users. Banish this thought from your mind! Every organisation faces unique challenges and uses their software in slightly different ways. You might have a solution for the challenges others are facing, or another user might have a solution that could save you time.

Presenting or leading a session at the Axiell User Conference is the best way to maximise the value of being part of the Axiell User Community, so submit your story today!
