Axiell acquires Gold Systems, Inc. division to strengthen offering in the Vital Records market

Asset acquisition furthers Axiell industry expertise with key relationships and cutting edge technology enabling a leading position in North America

Lund, Sweden, October 19 2016 – Axiell, the leading vendor to archives, libraries and museums worldwide, as well as the leading Vital Records systems provider in Australasia and Canada, today announces the acquisition of a business division of Gold Systems, Inc., a Salt Lake City, Utah-based company. The acquisition further strengthens Axiell’s position in the market for Vital Records, which comprises software systems to help authorities manage births, deaths, marriages and more.

By adding Gold Systems’ Vital Records customers, including Washington, D.C., the innovative Vita product and two authorities in the Vital Records field, Steve Gold and Jeff Greenland, Axiell has significantly strengthened its presence in the field.

The Vital Records market faces numerous challenges, including converting to digital processes, managing complex integration and workflows with multiple data sources, while still being able to maintain complete security and accuracy of the information. Vita is a modern solution, based on standard technologies and an open database agnostic architecture, allowing stakeholders appropriate task-specific access to information and strong workflow support for key business processes.

Through close cooperation with its customers, Axiell enables Vital Records offices to record, validate, retrieve, update, certify, issue and share registration and health information about all life events, including: births, deaths, marriages, civil partnerships, divorces, fetal deaths (stillbirths), induced termination of pregnancy (ITOP), adoptions and changes of name.
