Speaking at the European Axiell User Conference 2016, on 2-3 June, at the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester.
Jack and John’s presentation details their new approach to online collections at the Science Museum Group. One of the most ambitious museum projects of the 21st Century, their project aims to digitise the vast majority of their object collections alongside transporting 320,000 objects to new storage facilities.
Their finished project aims to significantly increase accessibility and usability of their online resources, and unites all the Group’s museums collections within one online resource, allowing thematic searching, deep zoom and online multimedia files.
