Axiell’s global position and large customer community can connect customers across borders, for the benefit of sharing expertise and, in the future, content and data. Axiell has expanded its operations continuously and this is the twenty-first company which joins the Axiell Group family. The Group has customers in 55 countries, and more than 10,300 institutions trust and partner with Axiell to manage and provide access to cultural heritage, reading and learning.
“The sector for collections management and preserving culture is consolidating globally. The consolidation is driven by the fact that few organisations can make the significant investments needed to serve this market in an innovative and sustainable way. We are proud to be able to continue expanding Axiell into new regions. Through the acquisition, we continue on the path of bringing successful regional vendors into the Group. We are glad to be joined by an experienced organisation and we look forward to having additional skills join Axiell.” says Joel Sommerfeldt, President & CEO of Axiell Group.
To remain engaging and relevant to modern audiences and to preserve national treasures, museums and other cultural institutions must digitise their collections, make them more accessible and interactive for the public, researchers and any audiences that are priorities for the institution. Investments in technology must meet future needs of connecting and sharing data rapidly, as well as enabling institutions to manage new ways of working, following COVID-19. Axiell has invested heavily in modern cloud-based technology and the solutions will be available to the new customers when suitable to them.
“Museums, galleries and archives are vital components in a democratic and open society. The sector is going through digitisation at a rapid pace and when we join Axiell, we will be even better positioned to be the leading partner to nation-wide initiatives for preserving cultural heritage. All through our discussions, we have established a mutual view on how important sustainability and long-term customer relations are to this industry. I am glad to be able to continue serving our customers as Axiell and ensuring that these institutions can meet new demands in society.” says Pavel Mlčoch, CEO of Musoft.
