Quria uses the basic entity relationships from the IFLA Bibliographic Concept Models*: ‘work’, ‘expression’, ‘manifestation’ and ‘item’ in both the storage and presentation of collections, instead of traditional formats.​ These frameworks make it easier to navigate the collection and a simple search provides the user with an overall experience beyond the ordinary. ​

Linked data makes your collections searchable on the web

In the near future, linked data will be available combining Quria with our content publishing software Arena. With linked data, it’s easy to connect and use library data outside your own catalogue. For example, when bibliographic data is in a linked format, it can be used by search engines such as Google. ​

A simple search on the web for an author’s name can provide catalogue information and your library’s events connected to that author as well as the library’s location and opening times.
