Perfect for handling large scale collection moves and batch relocations, Axiell Move helps you to track and manage the locations of your items throughout their journey to their new locations.

Scan barcodes with an iPhone or iPad

Update object locations and logistics information in your Collections Management System with an iPhone or iPad camera as a scanner.

Access your collections data on location

Scan object barcodes to review descriptions, images, care instructions and insurance information about the object or package in front of you.

Document packing / unpacking of objects

Document the packing of objects or smaller packages into larger containers, as well as capture details when objects are packed.

Update object locations in real-time

Register items (crates, boxes and any unpacked objects) as they arrive, even for temporary locations, ensuring the accuracy and security of your collections.

Work without WIFI connection

Log your changes in your device even without an internet connection, and when connection resumes – the correct time stamps and information will be sent to your CMS.

Move Premium offers you enhanced functionality

When you upgrade to Premium, Axiell Move is enhanced to streamline the regular, day-to-day movements of your institution’s objects. It’s ideal for managing and tracking regular activity within your institution. This might be a visitor’s request to view an item, or the need to move an object urgently because of a risk of damage, or delivery for photography or conservation.

Set live “missions”for staff

Create specific movement or relocation “missions” which need to take place at a particular time. These are jobs describing which objects need to be moved or packed, and where they need to be moved to.

Download “missions”to devices

Staff and volunteers, such as those working in stores, reading rooms and in exhibitions, can download these ‘missions’ to their device.

Complete “missions” and scan new locations

They can complete the mission and scan the object to the new location easily, ensuring real time tracking as daily missions are completed.

Work Offline

Once downloaded, missions can even be completed offline if necessary, then synced as soon as the device is back online.

What our customers think

Just being able to scan, it took so much less time that manually typing or creating handwritten lists. By the end of the day we had moved about 222,283 items. If we'd had to write all of that down then upload it into the database, it would have taken many more house and so many more people

Diverse teams can all be working across a collection, updating data and management and other staff can have a real time picture of where those objects are. It’s helped us greatly improve our capacity to work with the collections and locate the collections. It’s helped us do some major storage projects and relocate large parts of our collection and redevelop our galleries – moving objects into and out of spaces.
