Axiell training

Axiell Collections/Adlib – Just the way we like it: Tailoring the system to meet your needs

Ben Doty Software Consultant

Is there anything in your Axiell system that you’ve always wanted to change?

Something you don’t use that should be hidden, or a field that needs to be made mandatory, or even a tweak to the layout that will fit much better with how your organisation needs to work?

This course will give you the skills and the confidence to dive into the configuration side of the program and make the changes you need.

The course pays attention to the various ways in which you can adapt your own application, such as by changing screen appearance, adding extra fields, access points or authority files, how the properties of database fields can be edited to apply formatting or make data entry mandatory, and editing system help texts. Other topics covered are specifying your changes, creating an index, changing the type of index, and re-indexing.

We can come to you and run sessions at your location for you and your team, anywhere in the UK, or you can take part in our scheduled classes below.

Trainer Ben Doty Ben Doty
Ben has worked for Axiell as a trainer since 2016, delivering online, on-site, and in-office trainings on an ever-increasing number of Axiell products. In addition, he assists with testing, performs data migrations, consults on new products, writes documentation, and helps out anywhere else necessary.

Ben came to Axiell from a heritage background, working and volunteering at many museums and archives, as well as pursuing a degree in Museum Studies, giving him an understanding of how customers are trying to use Axiell products that he uses to improve training.

The course gives you a lot of control and familiarity over what you need to do to achieve alterations/additions to Adlib. I can now create linked fields successfully!!

The course gives a very good overview of what Designer can be used for, and makes it clear that anyone suitably trained can use most of the functions.
