This course will give you the skills and the confidence to dive into the configuration side of the program and make the changes you need.
Mimsy XG Administrators and Super Users will develop an understanding of how to configure and customise Mimsy XG.
Training begins with a review of the system modules and how these are controlled by the Mimsy XG System Administration interface, how to navigate it, and how the tools it contains can be applied to meet your needs. This course walks participants through how to streamline the Mimsy XG interface to meet the needs of your collections managers, curators, cataloguers, registrars and volunteers. Topics include, the application of record-level or field-level privileges and restrictions, eliminating non-essential fields, and developing Views for different users, configuring required fields, default values, field functionality and validation, interface layout and how data is presented, and much more.
The course is empowering and, at its completion, participants will possess the knowledge to move forward independently and to configure Mimsy XG to be easier and more efficient to use for the whole institution. This course is presented in Express format and is an abbreviated version of our 2 day system module class.
