Paris, France, January 5, 2025 – Axiell, the global leader in software and services for the cultural sector, is proud to announce that Courbevoie libraries have chosen Quria, Axiell’s innovative cloud-based library services platform. This decision follows the example of Médiathèque de Neuilly-sur-Seine, the first French library to adopt Quria in May 2025, which is currently in the deployment phase. In a pioneering move to accelerate the digital modernisation of libraries in France, the Courbevoie Libraries have decided to replace its current V-Smart software with the innovative Quria platform.
Axiell’s Quria platform, already adopted by over 400 libraries worldwide, is designed to meet the current and future needs of libraries. It enables centralised management of physical and digital resources, optimises workflows, and integrates communication channels, thereby fostering collaboration and efficiency. Initially launched in Scandinavia, a region known for its innovative approach and early adoption of advanced technologies in libraries, Quria is establishing itself as a future-proof solution.
Joachim Läckberg, VP Library at Axiell, stated: “We are thrilled to welcome Courbevoie libraries to the Quria community. This adoption not only underscores the growing momentum for digital transformation in French libraries but also reflects our shared commitment to empowering libraries for the benefit of their communities.”
By choosing Quria, Courbevoie libraries are embracing digital transformation, joining the ranks of the most innovative libraries in Europe. This strategic partnership will enable Axiell and the city of Courbevoie to work closely together to ensure that the implementation of Quria perfectly meets the expectations of users and staff.
Jean-Claude Hanol, Director of the Courbevoie Médiathèque, declared: “The adoption of Quria marks a decisive step in our ambition to position the libraries of Courbevoie at the forefront of cultural and digital innovation. This platform will not only allow us to optimise the management of our resources and improve the experience of our users, but also to strengthen our role as a place of knowledge, exchange, and discovery for all. By choosing Quria, we reaffirm our commitment to providing a modern, inclusive, and forward-looking public service for the benefit of our entire community.”
