When you upgrade to Premium, Axiell Move is enhanced to streamline the regular, day-to-day movements of your institution’s objects. It’s ideal for managing and tracking regular activity within your institution. This might be a visitor’s request to view an item, or the need to move an object urgently because of a risk of damage, or delivery for photography or conservation.
Create specific movement or relocation “missions” which need to take place at a particular time. These are jobs describing which objects need to be moved or packed, and where they need to be moved to.
Staff and volunteers, such as those working in stores, reading rooms and in exhibitions, can download these ‘missions’ to their device.
They can complete the mission and scan the object to the new location easily, ensuring real time tracking as daily missions are completed.
Once downloaded, missions can even be completed offline if necessary, then synced as soon as the device is back online.
Just being able to scan, it took so much less time that manually typing or creating handwritten lists. By the end of the day we had moved about 222,283 items. If we'd had to write all of that down then upload it into the database, it would have taken many more hours and so many more people
