An Axiell Quria Library vision

Axiell wins Teltow with cloud-based, digital-first library services platform

The library will use Axiell Quria and Arena to evolve its services

Axiell, the leading vendor to cultural institutions in Europe, today announces that Teltow public library decided in favour of Axiell Quria and Arena. The library will use the solutions to drive its digital transformation, present and manage its complete e-media and physical library offer via a single platform, for their patrons. With Axiell Quria, the customer will benefit from a cloud-based library services platform which makes daily work routines more efficient. The system is unique in how it supports library staff, providing a complete overview of what is happening in the library and supporting new ways to manage the engagement with patrons.

“We want a platform that is simple in use and clear and modern for our users. In times of digital change, the aim in public libraries should be to continuously develop and innovate the offer,” says Andrea Neumann, library director at Teltow. “A modern library must do more than manage the books to be relevant to its patrons. We need a communication platform and full support for digital processes. With Quria we can evolve our services and rapidly continue our development by intelligent software that provides the support we need.”

Quria enables the cost-efficient management of all services in the library through modern standards and simplified daily work routines. Together with Arena, the library staff can manage all aspects of the work in the library, from managing the catalogue and the collection to e-media management, events and targeted patron outreach which creates engagement. This means that librarians have time for their important work of promoting reading, learning and creativity, and fostering a democratic and inclusive forum for the community.

Ann Melaerts, VP, Business Area Director Axiell Public Library / Education comments: “We are very glad that Teltow will join the Axiell family. We look forward to being part of the development to encourage reading and learning in Brandenburg and Berlin. The drive for innovation of the services and increasing relevancy and investing in the online communication to open up the library beyond the physical location will be a core part of the project which we look forward to partnering with Teltow to realize.”
