The museum version of the system is most suitable for anyone managing art, historical or scientific collections with a variety of item types. The system has been designed for a range of collections types including arts, natural history, industrial, archaeological and mixed collections.
Most of the standard features are available in the Museum application.
The archive version of the system is designed specifically for archivists and should be used by people who are managing archive collections including documents, multi-media, maps, historical books as well as digital-born materials
This application supports the creation of multi-level hierarchical descriptions in accordance with the ISAD(G) and DACS standards. An on-screen ‘tree structure’ display enables you to readily browse through all the levels of the catalogue, however complex, and simply insert records as needed.
The special library version of the system enables features that special libraries may need and should be used by any library that is looking for library management made easy. Axiell Collections for Libraries is flexible enough to deal with all kinds of publications, including digital and multimedia files. The standard catalogue includes templates for several different types of material including books, audiovisual materials, journals, loose-leafs and articles.
