Axiell’s Library Experience Platform, Quria, Chosen by Over 500 Libraries Across Europe

Lund, Sweden, 26 August 2026 – Axiell, the world’s leading provider of software and services for the cultural sector, is proud to announce that over 500 libraries and consortia across Europe have chosen Quria to deliver a more user‑friendly and engaging library experience for both visitors and librarians.

This milestone marks a significant acceleration in the adoption of Quria and reflects the platform’s growing influence as a modern, future-ready solution for library operations. The platform’s growing community now spans libraries across Europe, from early adopters such as Stadtbibliothek Paderborn in Germany, Sarpsborg Libraries in Norway and the Dalarna Libraries in Sweden to more recent additions including Neuilly-sur-Seine in France and the Anders Consortium in Finland.

“Reaching 500 libraries is a major milestone, not only for Quria, but for the entire library community we serve,” said Maria Wasing, President and CEO of Axiell. “In a relatively short time, Quria has matured into a sophisticated platform that benefits both large consortia and individual libraries through its user‑friendly interface, modern cloud-based architecture, and ability to drive operational efficiency.”

Launched in 2017, Quria is a comprehensive, cloud-based library services platform that centralises all resources and workflows. It offers a wide range of features that help libraries automatically maintain an attractive and up‑to‑date public offer across devices, quickly adapt to changing patron needs, optimise shelf space, and evaluate stock usage with precision. Quria’s ground-breaking metadata model is built entirely on linked data according to IFLA‑LRM and RDA, enabling more meaningful relationships betweenbibliographic information and dramatically improving discoverability.

Quria forms a core part of Axiell’s Library Experience Management (LXM) framework: an ecosystem of modern solutions and professional training that empowers libraries to design a complete, end‑to‑end digital experience tailored to their community. Developed to meet modern demands and anticipate future challenges, Quria  enhances IT security and adapts to evolving operational requirements.

With 500 libraries and counting, Axiell remains committed to expanding Quria’s capabilities and supporting libraries in creating rich cultural experiences.
