Kungsbacka will be first in Sweden to implement the cloud-based library services platform.
Lund, Sweden March 31 2020 – Axiell, the leading vendor to public libraries in Europe, today announces that Kungsbacka libraries will be the first library in Sweden to choose the cloud-based library services platform, Quria®. With this, Axiell is launching Quria into the Swedish market and will work closely with Kungsbacka to ensure a delivery that is fully adapted to the needs of Swedish libraries.
Quria® is the world’s first cloud-based library system, developed to support the future needs of libraries and adapted to the ongoing changes in working methods of today’s libraries. With Quria®, libraries can easily share resources, which improves efficiency and encourages collaboration within the library sector. Today, libraries offer an increased number of events and activities. This requires a system that is able to manage, administer and promote the activities in an easy way. With Quria®, the users can, for the first time, handle workflows, communication channels and resources (both physical and digital) via a single platform. Quria® is currently used in libraries in Norway, Germany and Switzerland.
Kungsbacka and Axiell have already implemented a number of system changes with good results. As the first library in Sweden, the library staff will actively test and work with workflows and routines, provide feedback and suggest improvements, as well as participate in workshops around usability and UX design.
Kungsbacka libraries consists of the libraries Fyrens, Fjärås, Frillesås, Kullaviks, Onsala, Åsa and the mobile libraries.
