Axiell chosen to manage cross-country collections systems

Toronto, Canada – 16 January 2017Axiell and its Emu system has been selected by Parks Canada Agency for its collections management system to combine varied and disparate cultural resource information systems into a single, standardised national system that can be accessed by its 4,000+ employees.

The project will bring an efficient way to store and manage a vast range of data, documents and imagery, while creating an effective tool for reporting and decision making.

EMu will combine all cultural resource information related to Park Canada’s 46 national parks, four national marine conservation areas, 171 national historic sites which is currently housed in multiple systems within offices across Canada.

Axiell’s EMu provides Parks Canada with a single platform designed specifically to support the management of both digital and non-digital assets, with rich functionality for program and functional areas relevant to cultural resources.

The multi-phased project will reach completion in March 2017.
